Gorgeous Little Ebay Bargains

Hi everyone, I have been having a little nosy on ebay recently and have found some very lovely items, I'm still shocked at the prices of all of these because they are so ridiculously cheap!  They're all from over-seas though so I had to wait about 2-3 weeks for them to arrive and a couple of the items that I ordered about a week ago, still haven't arrived yet.  But, I was so excited about them I just wanted to show you anyway :-)  I've listed all the details of each one at the bottom of the page, so you can click on the links and have a little browse at them too.  You can also check out my last exciting ebay find here.

The first item that arrived was the crystal flower dust plug, it was beautifully package in a small clear bag with a really pretty vintage pink bow on it!  I unpacked it and put it straight on my phone and of course it fitted perfectly and looks gorgeous too :-)

The second item was the stunning Rose Quartz gemstone heart necklace, now I am completely in love with gemstones, I've been collecting them for many years and so of course I couldn't resist this.  I was happy to see it wasn't too small, as sometimes you can never quite tell the size of an item from the photos but the photos of this pendant on ebay were quite accurate, it measures 3.3cm x 3.7cm which is a really nice size I think for this kind of thing.  But the real beauty of it has to be the lovely silver roses that surround the heart, it's so, so beautiful and so unique.  It didn't come with a chain but I didn't mind that as I make a lot of jewellery I have quite a lot of silver chains, so it was easy for me to find a nice for it but you can also pick these up really cheaply on ebay too.

I spotted the gold & crystal bow ring on one of the ebay wish lists by Shannon at Raspberry Kisses blog and thought it was just so cute and pretty so I clicked on the link straight away and ordered one!  I've been after a bow ring for absolutely ages and just haven't been able to find one that looks just right, until now and I think the diamantes make it that little bit more beautiful :-)

Sadly it's one of the items that I'm still waiting eagerly for, as with the two bracelets but I will let you know when they arrive and what I think of them.

In the meantime, you can see a few of the pics I got from the ebay listings, then go click on the links below and grab yourselves a bargain too!

Stay Happy

Something a Little Different - My Top 3's

Hi everyone I hope you're all well and having a good day.  Wow it's so hot here in the uk at the moment!!  Ok just a quick post to tell you about a new idea I have planned for my blog.  As well as my weekly posts, I'm also going to try and do a 'quick' post in between the usual ones, with the theme of My Top 3's.  Now this can be anything from; makeup items, to music, to skin care, to foods, to movies etc, you get the idea!

So to kick it off, today's Top 3 are some absolutely amazing tunes that I cannot stop listening to at the moment, I literally am wanting to hear these all the time, in fact I've just been listening to them a little while ago.

The first is a track I found originally on YouTube many months ago, and it's called Moondust, (I just love that word) and it's by Jaymes Young.  I found it on one of Sawyer Hartman's scenic videos of gorgeous American beaches and the song was playing over the film.  I think I must have watched that video about 6 times that day just so I could keep hearing the track!  It has such a lovely relaxed, chilled out sound to it and I could happily listen to it all day!  I'll pop a link in HERE so you can not only hear this brilliant song but also see the beautiful scenic images too.  Also HERE is another link to a slightly different acoustic version of the song - I am absolutely besotted with this guys voice, so gorgeous!!

Ok on to the next track, this is by a girl called Jeni Suk, I found her through a random facebook post with her own version of a song called Wildfire and I loved it, so after a quick YouTube search I of course found her channel and found one of her original tracks called Parables.  And I'm absolutely nuts about it, it's so beautiful.  She is a very talented girl, all the lyrics and music are created by herself.  You can hear this beautiful song and see her in action in her video HERE :-)

Finally, this next track is from a very old 90's album called Essential Mix, which is basically a mixed dance cd with tracks by dj's Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Sasha.  Now I LOVE 90's dance music, it's my absolute favourite, however the track in my top three today off this cd is called Man With No Name - Floor Essence, strange name but wow, really wow!  It is one of the best dance tracks I've ever heard, I can NOT stop listening to it and find myself constantly pressing repeat, I am obsessed with it!  Seriously you have to hear this, it's too good not to be heard, a lot! :-)  you can find it HERE.
I only purchased the cd a short while ago very cheaply from AMAZON, if you'd like to check out the whole album you can get it on there for only 79p, bargain!

I hope you enjoyed this kind of blog post and I'm looking forward to doing many others, not 100% sure yet but the next one may involve a makeup item. . . Who knows, watch this space :-)

Break Ups

Tissues everywhere, eye's puffy and soar from all the crying and the feeling like your worlds just ended, sound familiar?!  Break ups are never easy and sadly I've had my fair share and none of them have been pleasant.  Sadly this time round has been no exception.  I've really tried to not let it bring me down but that's a lot easier said than done!

My two past break ups were pretty horrible, I even went through a break down and had severe depression after the last one, that was three years ago and I'm glad to say even though it took me about a year to get through it, I learnt a lot from it and was finally able to get my confidence back.

Sadly though because of this, whenever stressful situations happen in my life, I tend to spiral back down that path, I get bouts of severe depression and anxiety attacks.  But one thing I have learnt from my past troubles is ways to try and help control my emotions and ways to help get me out of that flunk!  So even though I've suddenly been put in that position again by a guy that I actually thought was a keeper!  I refuse to go down that road again and loose myself in a pit of despair, depression, self criticism and emotional turmoil (well I'm trying not to anyhow!!).

People always say the cliché phrase, time will heal and you think yes but when! But it does even though it takes a while and in the mean time you still feel like rubbish!  It's hard especially when you've been with someone for quite a while and you loved them.  The worst part was finding out he had it all in mind during the last few weeks we were together, while I was still thinking everything was ok, I didn't have a clue ;-(  And then, suddenly getting dumped through a text the night before we were due to meet up!  The coward didn't even answer the phone when I called him back, how low is that!!

These are the type of things you need to be remembering, all the little things you didn't like about them, you might even come to realise they weren't as perfect for you as you first thought!  Sadly it doesn't always help ease the pain though, somehow despite how it ended I still miss him ;-(  But you still need to find your own ways to cope and get through it all.  Having someone close to talk to is essential and not letting yourself wallow either.  That's probably the hardest part for me, I tend to constantly over-think everything, look at old photos, re-read texts and sit crying over memories of the 'good times'.  Sadly right now, I'm still stuck in that phase because I miss him so much but I know it will pass, eventually!  But one thing I am sure of is, if I don't pick myself up and pull myself together, no one can do it for me and the longer you let yourself stay in that 'wallow' phase, the worse it gets and the harder it is to get out of!

So right now, the one thing I'm really throwing myself in to, is my blog because I love doing it so much and seeing comments from my readers cheers me up soooooo much, so THANK YOU!  Don't worry normal post will resume shortly but for now I just had to have a rant and as this blog of mine is about my life and the things that go on in it, I thought I'd share this with you too!

I just wanted to add a little note to this, I just wanted to make it clear that I'm not looking for sympathy or people feeling sorry for me or anything like that.  I literally just wanted to tell you about it and share with you one of the things that's going on in my life and how I felt about it :-)

Review - Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hi everyone, I just had to do this impromptu little review post for you today.  I bought myself the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water from Boots the other day, it was on special offer for just £3.33, instead of the usual £4.99, perfect time to grab a bargain!  Basically I was SO impressed with it when I tried it out that evening, I just had to come and tell you about it!

According to the technical info, Micelle's are like microscopic magnets that cling to dirt/makeup and can dissolve it in water.  That's the basic gist anyway and so of course it makes for a perfect makeup remover.

I really like Garnier products, I love their Nutralia Healthy Hair shampoo, as it very gentle, there's no scent to it (because I do hate scented products) and it doesn't have all the added extras like a lot of other shampoos, it's just a nice basic product that does the job well.

I have also often raved about the Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing 2 in 1 Makeup Remover which is really great, it even got a special mention in my Spring Favorites post, I've used it so much I recently had to go and buy myself a second bottle.

And don't get me wrong, I do still love it but I just have to admit, my old faithful 2 in 1 is going in the back of the cupboard because there's a newbie on the block!
I tried the Micellar water first just by adding a small amount on a cotton pad and just gently wiped my eyelid.  I didn't even think that would be enough to shift anything but I was totally amazed with the amount that came away!  So then came the real challenge, my waterproof mascara. . . Wow, I can honestly say this Micellar water did a better, quicker and more thorough job getting it off than any other makeup remover I have ever tried, including the 2 in 1 which is partially oil based and made for removing waterproof makeup!  Even with that I sometimes have to rub quite a bit to remove it all but with the Micellar water, it was just so easy.
I also love the fact that there really is no scent to it, no smell at all.  Most products that claim to be non-scented always still have a scent of some kind, even a chemical-type smell but this had nothing, so it made it a lot more pleasant to use too.  I didn't even find that I had to use very much of it, so the generous 400ml is going to last me a very long time!!

Have you tried out any of the Micellar waters yet, what are your thoughts, let me know in the comments below :-)
Hope you all have a great week and I will upload another post later this week.  Stay happy

Makeup and Fashion Summer Wish List

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great week!  For todays post I have a little list for you of a few things that I am very much wanting to own at the moment.  There's always little bits here and there that I'm either saving up for or wanting to find but these few things have been at the top of my list for a while now.  So to the list

1.  Garnier Micellar Water, I've heard so many good things about this stuff and I can't wait to try it out for myself.  I found this one on the Boots website for only £4.99 and as it's a brand I really love, I'm really looking forward to getting it.

2. The Bourjois Effet 3D Lipgloss, again the reviews for this product make it a so very tempting, the swatches I've seen are equally appealing and since my new 'makeup crush' items are lip glosses, I really want to get my hands on one of these!

3. Statement necklaces, I'm not usually a fan of giant necklaces but some of the ones I've seen around lately are so beautiful, I think they look amazing with a plain T'shirt or with a shirt like the one pictured.  I also love this one from Debenhams.

4. I love the look of a pretty floral dress for the summer, I do have a lovely cream dress with red flowers which I love but, well one is never enough really is it :-)  This one is from New Look, I think it's in the sale that's currently on but I've seen lots of other lovely ones too!

5. I am so in love with this style of patent low heel shoes, aren't they just absolutely gorgeous!!  I just love the nude/stone colour too, they go so well with any outfit. These ones are also from New Look.

6. Tanya Burr Lip Glosses, oh how I desperately want to get my hands on these!  I'm a big fan of her YouTube channel and I've heard so many people rave about these.  My favorite shades so far are Chic, Aurora and Smile, Dream, Sparkle.  These shades look so beautiful swatched from what I've seen online and I'm sure I will like some of the other shades too.  Unfortunately my local Superdrug doesn't stock them but I am determined to find them. . . very soon oh yes!

7. Makeup Revolution Redemption palette 3. . . Now I'm a huge fan of the Urban Decay Naked palette but the price mark isn't always the friendliest to my wallet, but this lovely new brand has come out with supposedly an exact dupe for the UD Naked 3 (if you haven't heard already!) And at only £4.00 my wallet is feeling a little happier!

8. Lace or crochet waistcoats, they just shout hippy chic and I just love the way they look.  I wish I knew where this actual one was from (this is a Google image) but I've found quite a few similar ones here and there.

9. I am really into maxi skirts this summer and I've been after a lovely patterned black one just like this.  Sadly even though I've spent far too long searching the net for it, I just can't seem to find this actual one anywhere :-(  But I did find a very nice very similar one at New Look for £17.99

10. Flower Garlands, again so hippy chic and just so cute, I LOVE pink roses and these garland/hair bands add such an adorable look to any summer outfit.  Again New Look comes up trumps with a very pretty one for only £3.99.

What items or products are you desperately wanting at the moment, let's have a good chat about it in the comments :-)
Also just a quick note to add I have some very exciting posts lined up over the coming weeks for you all, including more reviews, my favourite 'My Lips But Better' selection of lippys, another 'Little Visit To' with some gorgeous photos, a lovely large June/July haul and some exciting news. . . So watch this space!!

Tasty Treats - Chocolate Crispy Cakes

Hi everyone, a couple of days ago I decided to get creative in the kitchen, and this is what I came up with . . . Chocolate Crispy Cakes :-) Yum!

Now I'm not much of a cook but these I can manage.  I haven't had these in such a long time.  When I posted a picture of the finished cakes on my facebook page, one of friends even said they reminded him of being a kid again lol

So here's the bits I used, now I know technically if you're making 'crispy' cakes then you would normally use Rice Crispies (hence the name) but I've always prefered them made with Corn Flakes, hay they're still crunchy right!

After boiling water in a pan, I placed a glass bowl on top and then added the chocolate.  Just a quick funny story to mention - Back when I was at boarding school, my friend and I decided to make these Crispy Cakes for a fate, we couldn't find a glass bowl and so 'borrowed' a plastic one from the teachers cupboard but of course; plastic bowl on a boiling hot metal saucepan. . . it melted the bottom, we were very stupid and no we didn't think of that.  Thankfully though the cakes came out great, the same couldn't be said for the bowl! :-)

Melting the chocolate, oooh if only digital pictures had smell-o-vision, it really did smell gorgeous!!

Adding the Corn Flakes, I do this a little at a time and fold them into the chocolate with a large spoon.

Then just pop a couple of spoonfuls into cake cases, so easy!I then tried to make some more up with a bar of melted Chocolate Caramel but that really didn't work too well, I didn't think about the actual caramel not melting properly and it ended up just going mushy rather than melted, oh well.

After that I tried a bar of Cadbury's Fruit & Nut, which worked lovely.

I put little silver dots on the bottom of the cake case for these ones so I could tell the difference once they were finished.

And there they are all done and looking yummy.  I put them all on a plate and into the fridge to cool, ready for eating with my cup of tea :-)

Have you ever made these before, do you think you'll give it a go?  Let me know in the comments.
And just before I go today, to all my American readers,
Happy 4th of July :-)
