My Top 3 - Autumn Essentials Part One (Lipsticks, Outfits & Boots)

The temperature has drop so much there's a real chill in the air, the leaves are all turning golden brown and by 5 o'clock is dark outside, yes Autumn has officially arrived!

So for today's Top 3, I thought I would talk you through a few of my basic Autumn Essential Part 1

Lipsticks - I love the look of wearing slightly darker, plum and berry tones during the Autumn and Winter months, and these 3 beauties are the ones that always see me through!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in the shade Raspberry Pie.  As soon as I first got this I knew it would be perfect for Autumn.  It's a really beautiful soft rich berry tone, with a nice bit of shimmer, it's definitely darker than I would normally wear any other time but this time of year I feel it just works.  And of course with these lip butters being so moisturizing, no more chapped lips because of the blustery cold winds!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in the shade Galaxy.  This is generally one of my favourite lip lacquers anyway because of the beautiful rich colour and the pretty sheer sparkle, plus of course being a lacquer it's very long lasting too, no need to re-apply after that tasty hot chocolate!

Rimmel Colour Rush Lip Balm in the shade Keep Mauving.  I am a HUGE fan of these Rimmel balms, I think they gorgeous, quite long lasting depending on the depth of colour, moisturizing, light weight and non sticky.  This shade in particular is again the perfect deep-but-soft looking Autumn colour.

In the warmer weather I love wearing T'shirts and blouses but of course when the weather starts to turn chilly and since I get cold easily anyway, I love pairing thin comfy jumpers with shirts.  I think it can look really stylish but casual and by pairing different coloured/patterned shirts and different jumpers, it can change the whole outfit.  I like to change up the accessories too by wearing either silver or gold jewellery and sometime use a different bag to co-ordinate with the colours I've chosen!  The three pictures below that I found on the wonderful Pinterest, show some really nice and really different looks. . .
I just love Pinterest for style/outfit ideas! :-)

Lastly, Boots!  I LOVE boots, tall ones, ankle ones, biker boots, leather or suede.  If you were to put a beautiful pair of Louis Vuitton's in front of me and a pair of goth-style biker boots, no contest it'd be the boots every time! :-)  I am really not a fan of the colder months of the year but when I know I can start wearing my lovely boots again, it makes me happy!  I have a few great pairs at the moment, including the gorgeous brown lace up ankle boots in the second picture below but sadly my biker boots have seen better days, so I'm on the look out for a new pair this year.  I love tall black boots but I think brown ones can look just as nice.  I've already been trawling the internet over the past few days but I think a visit to a few of my favourite shoe shops may be needed!  Here are a few of the nicest ones I found online (pics 1 and 3 from Pinterest, again!)

What are your favourite Autumn essentials, do you love boots as much as me, let me know below!  Also if you would like to know what my next 3 top Autumn Essentials are, keep a look out for next Sunday's post :-)  Until Next Time Stay Happy

Mid Week Mini Haul

Hi everyone, firstly I'm ashamed to say this is the longest I've gone without writing a post since I started my blog!  But I've had a total blank as to what to write about for the last week or so, so I thought I would do a little mini haul and tell you about some of the things I bought when I went out with my friend on Wednesday!

The very nice little Costa lunch I had while I was waiting for my friend to meet me, yum!

Ok first I went to Primark, and I just couldn't resist these adorable little gold rings!  I normally love wearing silver jewellery but lately I've really got into wearing gold as well.  I always prefer to try and match up my makeup and jewellery colours with my outfits, but of course some outfits especially like the one I wore the other day, jeans with a beige and brown jumper, look so much better with gold jewellery than with silver!  I've been gradually collecting little bits of gold jewellery and have a few lovely necklaces and a couple of bracelets but I didn't have any rings, so of course when I saw these lovely ones, I thought ooh :-)

I've been wanting a bow ring for absolutely ages and being sparkly, it's all the more lovely!

Next, I picked up this really nice necklace, nothing too special looking BUT I just loved the idea of it.  You get a double chain and 26 individual gold letters to thread on, making up your own words.  However!  This isn't so great (I now realize) when you have a name, like mine, with a double letter!  Every set of words or names I wanted to put on there I couldn't do for this reason, so over-all I'm a little disappointed but I did figure out a solution, next time I go to town I shall go straight to Primark and buy another one, yeay double letters!

Now, I have to say I absolutely love to wear the soft booty-type slippers around the house and the pair I have, although very comfy are starting to get a bit well-worn!  So I've been on the look out for a new pair, so while I was in Boots (not buying makeup for once!) I couldn't believe my luck when I spotted the loveliest lilac ones, on sale!!  And best of all not only were they in my size but they were a total bargain, reduced from £16.00, to £4.80!  :-)

I shall enjoy wearing these to keep my toes warm!

No Treats Today

Hi all, ok time for a rant!!  Well sad to say my little visit to Boots today was a fail!  I went to buy the amazing Real Techniques Core Collection brushes, I've been saving up my Boots points to buy for months!  So I took my card and the last pack of brushes to the till, only to find that I didn't have enough points on my card (£4 not enough) and then to top it off, they then tell me that I can't pay for an item with points combined with cash!  So I had to put them back, it was a sad moment! :-(

No.7 Free Gift

Hi everyone, today I thought I would tell you about my last trip to Boots a couple of weeks ago.  I was looking forward to buying one of the No.7 Stay Perfect Lipsticks (I got the shade Classic Rose) and No.7 Precision lip liner pencil (because they're staying power is amazing! I got shade Plum)  And to my great surprise and excitement, No.7 were giving away a gift pack for any two items purchased :-)
In the pack was yet another Stay Perfect Lipstick in Modesty, funnily enough the same colour that I was intending to buy originally, a gorgeous shade of High Shine Lipgloss in Smile and a very handy No.7 lip brush, all package in a very pretty little gift bag!
Right, now for the main bit - the lip brush is really good and I now use it for many of my lipstick for extra staying power.
The gloss, well, it's not too bad.  I find I have to apply a lot for it to actually look like I'm wearing any at all, even a thin layer.  It does stay on reasonably well (but does any gloss really stay put!)  One thing I will say is that it's a beautiful colour, though more in the tube than on the lips as it's very sheer but I will use it a while longer and give it another chance.
As for the lipsticks, I'm pretty new to these Stay Perfect ones but so far, I'm loving them!  The shade of the lipstick in the pack (even though that was the colour I originally wanted), is not the best at least on me and not overly pigmented but the one I bought, is a lovely deep pinkish cherry shade, so I'm happy with that. Plus I'm looking forward to me next little visit to Boots tomorrow, watch this space as I will have some more lovely new items to share :-) photo MyBlogSignature2_zps611ebcf4.png
