My Top 3 - Bloggers

Hi everyone, for today's Top 3, I've decided to pick 3 of my favourite bloggers.  Now these do change and I find new bloggers often but I find myself wanting to read every post that these particular bloggers upload.

I couldn't do a favourite bloggers list without mentioning Heather McKnight from PorcelainBeautyx blog.  I think it's easy to say she is probably my most favourite blogger, not only for the great posts she writes every day but she also seems a really nice, sweet, genuine person.  I had the pleasure of chatting to her recently and she was really lovely to chat to, we even have some unusual things in common!  I love that she writes beauty posts, lifestyle posts and quite deep thought-provoking posts.  For being only 18 she sounds very mature and I think has gained a lot from her first year of blogging, especially more confidence (as have I).  I also find myself constantly writing comments to her posts and every time, she is always kind enough to reply.

I admire her honesty, her opinions and her sense of ambition.  It amazes me how she manages to not only write a good length interesting post every day, hold down a full-time college course (and I know from personal experience just how full on an art course can be) and have a part-time job but also find time to have a social life.  She's even currently co-organizing her own blogger event!  Seriously, well done girl!

If you like posts that are quite personal, quite random at times and are a great mixture of beauty, lifestyle and everything in between, go and have a click on her blog, you're sure to love it too :-)

The next blogger that I've been loving is Khila from MissBudgetBeauty.  Many of you may have already heard of this lovely lady, as she certainly seems popular and not only has she had her amazing blog for over 4 years, she also has a very successful YouTube channel with well over 54 and a half thousand subscribers!!

I only found her blog over the spring, but I quickly found that I was going back to it regularly and I now really enjoy reading her posts daily.  She has a great mixture of beauty, style and lifestyle posts but I personally love her reviews, especially lip product reviews, being a lipstick/gloss obsessive I love hearing about her latest finds and seeing them in use.  I find her reviews very honest and to the point and I like the way (with lip products) she always does a close up lip swatch as well as a full face photo, so you get a really good idea of how each shade might look.
And of course as she's all about the budget-side of beauty, she mainly uses and reviews drugstore-priced products, which is great for someone like me that is on a permanent low budget when it comes to buying anything beauty related!

For my final pick today, I chose Rebecca-Louise from AutumnLeaves-x blog.  I'm a relatively new follower of hers but again, I've been happily reading every post.  As you can probably tell, I like blogs that have a good random variety of content and cover everything from beauty to fashion to lifestyle, I also really like posts that give tips on all areas of blogging and of course find it really helpful.  Which is one of the main reasons I like Rebecca's blog so much, she constantly gives great advice and tips on things like; the best time to share new posts on social media, how to improve your blog and many other helpful all-round blogging tips.  But I also love to read all her other posts too as there is SO much variety!
Again, I admire her ability to have a full-time job and publish really great posts everyday and I know there are many of you out there that do this too, but it never fails to amaze me how you manage it!

I do have many other blogs that I really enjoy reading too and I will be happy to write about them at some point.  I'd love to know if you liked this post and let me know if you follow these bloggers too :-)

My Top 3 - Sale Bargains

Hi everyone, for todays 'Top 3' I decided to show you 3 of the best sale bargains that I've picked up recently.

The first items are these beautiful floral ballet slippers.  I did mention these briefly in my Morning Routine post a couple of weeks ago but I just had to show you them properly because I am SO happy with them!  I have a real love for anything with roses or little flowers on and especially in these pink and cream colours.  I spotted these in Tesco about 6 or 7 weeks ago, for only £6, I quickly realised that I was crazy not to get 2 pairs at the time, so I had a spare in case these got damaged in the wash etc and tried every Tesco store I could get to but sadly they had all sold out.  Fingers crossed they will stock them again next summer!  They are extremely comfortable and absolutely gorgeous :-)

The next item was probably one of the best finds I've had this year, it's this Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss in the shade 014 Rosepearl.  I just happened to have a nosey through the sale section at Boots a few weeks ago and saw this for only 50p, yes really!  Considering they're normally £7.99, I thought to myself, I need to get that.  I tried it on when I got home and wow I am so glad I spent that 50p!  It's one of the nicest and prettiest shades of lipgloss I own and I just think it's beautiful.  It has a really pretty shine, it's very smooth on the lips and seems to last a good long while before needing a re-touch.  Out of all the shades in this range, this is the one I would have picked anyway, so I was really lucky to get it plus I've just found out that Boots have (very stupidly) discontinued this range.  I can't believe it, all the reviews on this lipgloss are so good so why on earth discontinue them, so silly!

Now, I have a 'slight' hoarding problem and find that if I really like something, I just have to have a spare of it, thankfully I manage to find a shop on ebay that still had a few of these Rosepearl glosses still in stock for only £2.90 each, so I grabbed a couple of them! :-)

This little bargain I found on the Debenhams website a few weeks ago, they had a massive sale on and I spotted this beautiful statement necklace by Jon Richard.  It was originally £15, reduced to £7.50 and then reduced again down to £6!  I was thrilled, it was exactly like the type of sparkly statement necklace I'd been looking for.  The other funny thing is that I saw this one a few months ago when I was sourcing pictures for my Summer Wish List back in July and fell in love with it then but just couldn't afford it, so you can image my surprise when I saw it on sale for such a great price!  It lays really nicely when I wear it and goes so well with pretty much any outfit.  I think I will keep it for smarter occasions though and for now it's safely tucked away still in the box it arrived in, to keep it away from the light so it stays nice and clean and shiny :-)

Have you bought any great bargains lately, let me know in the comments :-)

My Top 3 - Eyeliners

Hi everyone, for today's Top 3, I going to talk about eyeliners.  Now this is not usually an item I talk that much about, basically because I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with them and I tend to have more problems applying the stuff than anything else but I do love the way it looks, IF and that's a big 'if' for me, it happens to go well and look nice!  But since I'm pretty rubbish at applying it, I tend to stick to what I know works for me.

So anyway, here's a few of the ones that I do love to use, including one that I try and use if I'm feeling a little braver and more adventurous, and I have a bit more time on my hands to mess around with it. . . just in case it happens to go wrong. . . as per usual! :-/

Black Eyeshadows  These are the 'holy grail' eyeliners for me, I rely on them completely and they always work well no matter what.

I tend to use one of three different shadows;
if I'm using my Technic Nudes palette which I love, then the black one in that is perfect.
Or if I'm using my Urban Decay Naked palette, then I use 'Creep'.  Which even though it's not a very 'black' black, it's still good and blends well with the other shades from the palette.

If I'm using any other shadows, either singles or from another palette, I always go to my favourite Natural Collection 'Midnight' black, which is a wonderful very dark intense black.

But the main item I cannot live without for applying my eyeliner shadows is my Real Techniques Brow Brush from the Eyes Starter Set.
I just find it so easy to use, it's the perfect shape and size and applies perfectly.

Next is the Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil -

This is just a good basic pencil.  I used to find it a little scratchy but the more I've used it, the softer it's become and now It's just the right consistency to get a nice line.  I still find it a little tricky, because I'm just terrible at getting it right in the lash line but I do like it for just under my eyes.

And lastly the lovely Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Pencil (phew mouthful)!

This is one I definitely have to take a little more time with but I do love the darker thicker consistency, especially for a more dramatic/'evening-out' look.  It's SO soft, smooth and blendable and lasts for hours and hours, it's actually a job to remove at the end of the day!

What eyeliners do you use the most or do you have a nightmare of a time with them like me, let me know in the comments?!

On another note, I currently upload new posts every Thursday and Sunday, but just to let you know in future I will always be uploading posts every Wednesday and Sunday :-)

Something a Little Different - My Top 3's

Hi everyone I hope you're all well and having a good day.  Wow it's so hot here in the uk at the moment!!  Ok just a quick post to tell you about a new idea I have planned for my blog.  As well as my weekly posts, I'm also going to try and do a 'quick' post in between the usual ones, with the theme of My Top 3's.  Now this can be anything from; makeup items, to music, to skin care, to foods, to movies etc, you get the idea!

So to kick it off, today's Top 3 are some absolutely amazing tunes that I cannot stop listening to at the moment, I literally am wanting to hear these all the time, in fact I've just been listening to them a little while ago.

The first is a track I found originally on YouTube many months ago, and it's called Moondust, (I just love that word) and it's by Jaymes Young.  I found it on one of Sawyer Hartman's scenic videos of gorgeous American beaches and the song was playing over the film.  I think I must have watched that video about 6 times that day just so I could keep hearing the track!  It has such a lovely relaxed, chilled out sound to it and I could happily listen to it all day!  I'll pop a link in HERE so you can not only hear this brilliant song but also see the beautiful scenic images too.  Also HERE is another link to a slightly different acoustic version of the song - I am absolutely besotted with this guys voice, so gorgeous!!

Ok on to the next track, this is by a girl called Jeni Suk, I found her through a random facebook post with her own version of a song called Wildfire and I loved it, so after a quick YouTube search I of course found her channel and found one of her original tracks called Parables.  And I'm absolutely nuts about it, it's so beautiful.  She is a very talented girl, all the lyrics and music are created by herself.  You can hear this beautiful song and see her in action in her video HERE :-)

Finally, this next track is from a very old 90's album called Essential Mix, which is basically a mixed dance cd with tracks by dj's Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Sasha.  Now I LOVE 90's dance music, it's my absolute favourite, however the track in my top three today off this cd is called Man With No Name - Floor Essence, strange name but wow, really wow!  It is one of the best dance tracks I've ever heard, I can NOT stop listening to it and find myself constantly pressing repeat, I am obsessed with it!  Seriously you have to hear this, it's too good not to be heard, a lot! :-)  you can find it HERE.
I only purchased the cd a short while ago very cheaply from AMAZON, if you'd like to check out the whole album you can get it on there for only 79p, bargain!

I hope you enjoyed this kind of blog post and I'm looking forward to doing many others, not 100% sure yet but the next one may involve a makeup item. . . Who knows, watch this space :-)
